They can place it under their knees to take pressure off their lower back, under their head and upper back to elevate their head while lying down or even put it against the headboard to make it more comfortable to sit in bed.

Size - Go to the foam shop or a medical supply store and try some out. Different sizes for different uses and different sized people.

Material - Some seniors prefer soft foam wedges while others prefer harder. It depends on how you are using it. It can be soft if you are using it for a wedge pillow under your knees. However, it is better to have a firmer wedge if you are lying on top of it to elevate the head and upper back.
