Care giver salary

What is the norm regarding salary for live in caregivers when considering rent; pay them their salary as per location standard and have them pay me rent separately for the room they reside in and utility use? OR pay them a reduced salary which takes into consideration the cost of room rental and utility use?

If there are other options of best practices, please advise

We offer assistance to the elderly to make sure they someone to help them house hold task we are priced and love what we do. Our job is to make sure they are assisted and help with daily household task and to make sure nobody tries taking advantage of them. I started this because watching my father get older daily task became difficult for him to handle and in the long run I ended up helping some of his neighbors and friends my weeks were so busy but I was doing something I love. I hope anyone that reads this gets the help they need and may god bless them.
