Elderly Foot Care Question

by Janet Brandt

I have a neighbor that I am caring for.

She has extremely crusty, dry skin on her feet. It is very thick and yellow and green and nasty.

Should I advise her to soak her feet, to remove this crusty stuff?

She is unable to reach them, to put lotion on, has little feeling in them, and says she has been unable to bathe for several years.

She washes herself with some kind of wipes, and I am thinking she does not wash her feet, since she is unable to reach them.
