Funding for a lift chair or recliner

Will medical pay for a chair?

My mother in law has horrible swelling in her lower legs. The doctors always tell her she needs to keep her feet elevates, but she does not have a recliner.

She is only 4'10' and weighs about 300lbs, so she cannot really sit in a regular chair or couch and prop her feet up.

She is on SSI disability and has zero disposable income.
