Mother wants to sleep all the time

My 99 year old mother wants to sleep all the time, as of the last month only. Should I make her get up and walk? Walking is a recent problem also, she seems so weak.

Let her doctor check her first NEW

I’d recommend contacting her doctor sooner rather than later and describing the recent decline in energy, walking, and alertness. Even if it turns out to be part of aging, it’s still important to rule out something treatable first. In the meantime, keep an eye on whether she’s eating, drinking, confused, short of breath, or harder to wake up than usual, because those details can help the doctor figure out what’s going on.
