Son

My Dad is referring to being old more and more often. For example, he will say, "When you get really old like me ............" more and more.

He seems very sane, but I am thinking that because he is 87 years old and his friends and family are starting to die that he is beginning to realize his own mortality and maybe a bit afraid of dying himself but won't say it outright.

What should I know about an older parent talking this way more and more often?

I know too that technology is overwhelming to him and he is caught in an age that is quickly overtaking his desired understanding of a way of life.
